Washington, DC) As a part of the Maryland Avenue NE Streetscape Project, the District Department of Transportation will close the outbound and inbound lanes on Maryland Avenue NE adjacent to the median between 2nd and 4th Street NE on or about February 10-28, 2020. These lanes will be closed from 9:00am-5:00pm Monday -Friday, weather and construction conditions permitting.

 

The lane closures are needed to install utility work and infrastructure for stormwater management along the median.

 

Traffic control signs will be in place to guide travelers in the corridor through the new traffic pattern.  Motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists are urged to stay alert and use caution when traveling by the work zone.

 

The Maryland Avenue NE project will improve safety and access for bikes, pedestrians, and cars on the corridor between 2nd Street and 14th Street NE. The project includes new lighting, traffic signals, high visibility crosswalks, traffic calming, shorter crossing distances for pedestrians and new bike lanes. DDOT anticipates the project will be complete by Summer 2021.

(Washington, DC) -- The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will close the outbound and inbound lanes adjacent to the median between 7th and 8th Street NE on or about December 18, 2019 – January 17, 2020, as part of the Maryland Avenue Streetscape Project.
 

The temporary lane closures will be in place Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., weather and construction conditions permitting. The lane closures are needed to conduct electrical work along the median.
 

Traffic control signs will be in place to guide all users of the roadway through the new traffic pattern in the corridor. Motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists are urged to stay alert and use caution when traveling by the work zone.

(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close the left lanes both outbound and inbound between 13th and 15th Street NE beginning October 29.   

The temporary lane closures will be in place from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., Tuesday through Friday from October 29, 2019 until November 1, 2019, weather and construction conditions permitting. 

 

During this time, left turns from single lanes and U-turns will be prohibited. Emergency No Parking Signs will be posted in the parking lane between 13th Street NE and 14th Street NE on the westbound side and on the eastbound side between 14th Street NE and 15th St. NE.

 

The lane closures are needed to perform electrical and utility work.

The temporary lane closures will be in place from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday from October 23, 2019 until November 5, 2019, weather and construction conditions permitting. 

 

During this time, left turns from single lanes will be prohibited. Emergency No Parking Signs will be posted in the parking lane between 11th Street NE and 10th Street NE.

(Washington, DC) As a part of the Maryland Avenue NE Streetscape Project, the District Department of Transportation will close the outbound and inbound lanes adjacent to the median between 13th and 14th Street NE on or about July 25, 2019. These lanes will be closed from 7:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday from July 25, 2019 to August 9, 2019, weather and construction conditions permitting. In addition, the parking lane between 13th and 14th Street NE, along the outbound lane, will be restricted to stage the work.

 

The lane closures are needed to lay the electrical conduit along the median between existing electrical manholes.

 

Traffic control signs will be in place to guide travelers in the corridor through the new traffic pattern.  Motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists are urged to stay alert and use caution when traveling by the work zone.
