AKP Founder Kemal Albayrak Calls for Societal Peace and Amnesty Amid Concerns of Injustice

Kemal Albayrak, one of the founders of the AKP, has stated that following the events of July 15th, illegitimate practices from every state institution led to the expulsion of Anatolia’s people. He questioned whether a collective enemy class had been created, accompanied by ruthless, lawless practices. He also issued a warning to those in power: “There is a need for societal peace and amnesty. Otherwise, these injustices will breed resentment, and those responsible will not escape the consequences.”

Here is Kemal Albayrak’s social media post:

“Looking at those who were dismissed and punished with statutory decrees (KHK) from every institution after July 15th, it is possible to understand that the children of the lower-income group – civil servants, farmers, barbers, security guards, villagers – who had pursued education, became academics, doctors, officers, judges, teachers, and various other professions, were part of a plan that the regime comprehensively sought to annihilate and punish.

A collective enemy class was created, along with ruthless practices that disregarded legal norms. Is there a concern that the children of this nation will disrupt the dirty order? Is the plan for peasants’ children not to pursue education, for workers’ children not to pursue education, so that our corrupt and exploitative system can continue?

It seems like they want to maintain their reign. Don’t those who fail to grasp this see that a project is underway that cultivates individuals hostile to their homeland, nation, and state? When you investigate, when you see the unlawfulness and the extinguishing of lives, what else comes to mind? Are these individuals so easily raised?

Does the destruction of individuals with false evidence and false witnesses adhere to any legal norms or principles of a state governed by law? Pity those who do these things and those who fail to understand. What have we come to? Will intellectual and moral capital stay in this country, or will it even come here?

There is a need for societal peace and amnesty. Otherwise, these injustices will breed resentment, and those responsible will not escape the consequences. It paves the way for conflicts and ensures that those who commit injustices are not forgotten. Those who sow this resentment will not be left alone. History is filled with such events and lessons.

We must all stand against these irregularities together. Politics does not determine guilt; independent judiciary does. One should not protect those who commit crimes but should strive to be honest, moral, and just. One day, your character becomes your destiny, and it will.”
